We undertake research for a wide range of bodies on issues such as business engagement, visitor management, sustainable transport, destination management and increasingly on behavioural change.

Who we have worked with to date

We also receive a great number of requests for help on developing the CoaST model elsewhere. We can arrange and deliver Knowledge Transfer Visits, Ambassador Business Exchanges, and one-off presentations to tourism authorities, local authorities, environmental organisations, local councillors and business networks. Areas we have worked with or are currently working with individually and with partners include Benidorm, Brittany, Cairngorms, Chester, Cumbria, Cyprus, Devon, Granada, Hidden Britain, Northern Ireland, Kent, New Forest, Northumberland, Poland, Republic of Ireland, S Downs, S Hams, Scarborough, Scilly, Suffolk, Surrey, Lancashire, Wiltshire, Worcestershire, and the Universities of Exeter, Plymouth and Cornwall.

and give advice and support on how these activities could be tranferred to your specific circumstances, including the types of partners we work with to deliver such initiatives locally, and who your equivalents may be.

We're also involved in what's called scenario modelling, working to support a climate change and resource depletion model for Cornwall, to make sure we're fully prepared for the changes ahead.

Along with the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Partnership, we're also working to develop a Europarc Charter submission for Cornwall, amongst other areas. Because of a nationwide rise in interest in sustainable tourism, the work we've already done with tourism operators, land managers and support agencies means the knowledge we've gained is in increasing demand.
